Tips and care for your candle

Before lighting the candle

  1. Trim the wick: keep it to ~5 mm before each use to avoid excessive flame and smoke.
  2. Stable surface: Place it on a firm, heat-resistant, non-flammable base.
  3. No drafts: Avoid them to prevent uneven burning and soot.

While the candle is lit

  1. Melt to the edges: On first use, let the wax melt from wall to wall to avoid the “tunnel effect.”
  2. Maximum 4 hours: Do not keep it on for more than 4 hours at a time to avoid overheating.
  3. Never leave unattended: keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials.

After extinguishing the candle

  1. Do not blow out the flame: use a candle snuffer or place the lid on it to extinguish it and avoid wax splashing.
  2. Reuse the jar: Clean it with hot, soapy water when it has cooled completely.

Extras to extend the life of the sail

  1. Store it well: in a cool, dry place and away from direct sunlight or extreme heat.
  2. Center the wick: If it moves, carefully straighten it while the wax is still warm for even burning.
